Lobbyist

 Cindy Robert

zrgroup@aol.com

(503)260-3431

Cindy Robert is the founder and partner for Rainmakers LLP. She has been lobbying the Oregon State Legislature for almost two decades, with clients ranging from local governments to fortune 500 businesses to non-profits. The founding of Rainmakers allows her to combine her government experience with her quest to make long-term significant difference in public policy that goes beyond politics.

Recent combinations of government interest and passion for good causes led Cindy to be involved in Jessica’s Law for Oregon. She is also the government liaison for Chalkboard Project, an effort by both state and national foundations to make changes to Oregon’s education system that the public truly desires.

In addition to her lobby work, Cindy served as the administrator for the Oregon Transit Association, a non-profit organization comprised of transit providers statewide. In that capacity, she was involved in member recruitment, communication and retention, grassroots education and mobilization, state and federal reporting, meeting management and government relations efforts at both the state and federal level.

Cindy is an expert in all aspects of government relations, legislative strategy, campaign development and advising, organizational development and governance structure, corporate partnership and leveraged packaging.

In 1987, Cindy worked in Washington, D.C. for the Republican National Committee and was also a delegate to the Republican National Convention in New Orleans. Other political and community involvement includes director of various initiative petition campaigns, Member of the Citizen Involvement Committee for the City of Lake Oswego, Member of the Portland Art Museum Activities Council, Collegiate Chair for the Bush Campaign, tutor for Oregon Literacy, and Member of various ODOT committees.

Cindy is a Willamette University Graduate who also studied at American University in Washington, D.C.
